Welcome to TBS Gamma Omicron!
Thank you for visiting our website! We are the Gamma Omicron chapter of Tau Beta Sigma, located at Southern Arkansas University in Magnolia, AR.
We were originally chartered on February 12, 1966, and after many years of service to the Mulerider Bands, we went inactive in the early '90s. In 2001, a group of ladies, along with Marty Wilson and Sarah Mickey, worked to get our chapter reinstated, and with their perseverance and dedication, the Gamma Omicron chapter was rechartered on May 21, 2001.
Gamma Omicron has members in most of the instrumental groups on campus, including the Mulerider Marching Band, the Wind Ensemble, Concert Band, University Band, Brass Choirs, Woodwind Choirs, etc. We provide service to the band along with our community.
We are always trying to encourage students to participate in music. Music has always been a big part of our lives.
As of Fall 2023, we have 13 active sisters.
